feizhouhuaren.com (非洲华人, “Chinese in Africa”) is an independent website with practical guides for Chinese people living, working and doing business in Africa’s 54 countries. It is published in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and English.
Our readers are Chinese nationals and members of the Chinese diaspora who are already in Africa or planning to go: shop owners, factory owners, traders, staff of Chinese companies, and their families.
What we cover

- Company setup: company types, foreign ownership rules, registration and tax registration.
- Customs: import and export procedures and common problems.
- Safety: the security situation by city, crimes that affect Chinese residents and how to reduce the risk.
- Chinese communities: population estimates, chambers of commerce, Chinese supermarkets and Chinese embassies.
- News: policy changes and events that affect Chinese people in Africa.
How we research
We rely on official sources first: host-government immigration, company registry and investment agency websites, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) country guides (《对外投资合作国别（地区）指南》), notices from Chinese embassies and consulates, and the safety advisories on the Chinese consular service website. Every page shows a “最后核实” (last verified) date: the last time we checked the content against its sources.
Visa, tax and safety rules change often. Please confirm with the embassy or the relevant authority before you act.
Population estimates by country and their sources are on our Chinese population in Africa page. General topics such as passports and consular protection are in Africa essentials.
Independence and affiliate disclosure
We are not affiliated with any government, embassy or chamber of commerce. Some pages, including gambling guides, may contain affiliate links: if you sign up or buy through them, we may earn a commission. Commissions never change how we describe or assess the law in any country.
